Design

We gonna start from the top going through to the bottom of the device. At the top, this where we put in our pod. From inside there is the connection between the battery and the pod. On both side on the top of the device there are the airflow holes. Moving down to the middle on the front we have a led light “K” referring to kandypens the company. Moving down we have the USB charging port and finally we have Rubi engraved on the back side. I can tell, this is high quality design and material too is too good.

Pod

A closer look at the pod itself, I’m going to start from the top moving through to the bottom. So, at the top there is the mouth piece, it’s very comfortable. There is a hole in the middle for the airflow, moving down to our filling slot. As I mentioned before, you have the cap cover separate from the cartridge and you have to put it on the filling slot. I did  not experienced any leaking, the hole is actually a decent size to fit most e-liquid bottles. So, I haven’t necessarily had any problems. The capacity is 1 ml which isn’t the biggest but for a pod system it is a very good size comparing to others from same category. Then, at the bottom we have our connection pins to contact with the battery.

Battery

It’s internal battery with 280 mAh which is very good for a pod from this category. It can run for up to 1-2 hours which is the equivalent to roughly 250 puffs and it can be fully charged from dead in about 30 minutes. This battery is air activated which eliminates the use of any buttons and gives the user a more smooth experience. Another feature on the Rubi is it’s 8 second auto shut off which will turn it off when not in use, this will help conserve the battery. Finally, the big deal which is life time warranty (battery).
