Initial Thoughts

Well, first thing I have to pop it up is the device’s weight, very light to device like that and suitable size in your hands, I like that. Its design is modern and catchy, you gonna like it. It comes with 5 different colors and the colors are too beautiful. Also, with two caps for both mtl and dl vaping. I appreciated the airflow controller, right place and good functionality. Easy to refill the E-Liquid inside the chamber. I have to say, first impressions are promising. So, let’s move on and talk more in details, see how its vaping, how its performance and more.

 

 

 

Getting closer to Aegis boost

Design

As we noticed before, the weight of the boost is very light in compare of its size. It’s size bigger than most of the pods but its weight is too light and this is very good thing to me. Geek vape kept their design concept, Unique, catchy and modern. They placed the airflow controller on the top. The fire button and the (+),(-) buttons on the side, they are very firm and clicky. Its screen very simple contains (Puffs, wattage and resistance). With its micro USB charging which I would like if it was Type C instead. Of course, it is shock proof, dust proof and water proof, very rugged. Finally, covered with beautiful colored Zinc alloy ,Top grain leather and silicone.

Airflow and Flavor

About the flavor, it delivered very good. I felt the flavor, big approach for Geek vape. The airflow is delivered very nice with its controller you can adjust it at anyway you want, really nice.

Battery

The device has a 1500 mAh battery and battery life is very good. Vaping at 20 W with the 0.6 ohm coil lasted me over two days of use and over two full refills. The 0.4 ohm coil at 25 W lasted around a day and a half. The Aegis Boost has micro-USB charging and charges at 1.5 A. It takes just over an hour to recharge the device fully which isn’t too bad. I’m used to pod vapes charging in an hour or less but the amount of vaping I got out of the Boost makes this acceptable.

Pod

The pod holds 3.7 ml of E-Liquid and is filled through a rubber plug at the top of the pod. This means that the Boost can be filled without having to remove the pod. The plug is quite difficult to remove though and I had immense struggles trying to get it out. The plug is quite beefy and plugs the fill port well. The fill port itself is large and oval shaped and easy to fill. However, it’s hard to see how much E-Juice is in the pod because the pod has a dark tint. I wish Geek vape would have made the pod easier to see through. There’s a clip at the back of the pod that you press to remove it. When you insert the pod it clicks into place. The pod is secure and doesn’t wiggle at all when it’s seated in the battery.

Final Thoughts

Coming to the end, In conclusion, The Aegis Boost pod mod 1500 mAh is another great addition to the Aegis family. There are a few elements that could be changed to make it even better but as a whole, this is a great pod device. It has superb flavor, a portable but rugged chassis and respectable battery life too.If you’re looking for a good nicotine salt vape, the Boost is definitely worth picking up.
